Vantine History - Vantine Imaging Presidents

A photographer with only a bathroom for a darkroom had a dream.

In 1937, Edward Vantine Sr. left Boston and headed towards Syracuse, NY in search of a fresh start.  Taking a wrong turn, he ended up at the Colgate Inn in Hamilton, NY.  A photographer by trade, Edward started taking pictures of the fraternity brothers at Colgate University and developing his film in the bathtub.  Hamilton soon became Edward Vantine Sr.'s home and his dream a reality when he founded Edward Vantine Studios, the first Collegiate Composite Photography Company servicing fraternities and sororities

In 1970, Edward Vantine Sr. passed the legacy onto Edward Vantine, Jr. and Edward Vantine Studios became known simply as Vantine Studios, and remained the industry leader in college photography.  Like his father before him, Edward Vantine Jr. turned the reins over to his son, David, in 1999 - the third generation to carry on the family tradition of Greek composite services.

In 2001, under the leadership of David Vantine, Vantine Studios welcomed a new millennium with a new name: Vantine Imaging.  Today, under the direction of David Vantine, Vantine Imaging continues as the leader in technology, quality and customer service, creating photographic composites for sororities, fraternities and other member organizations nationwide
